Biography
Prof. M. G. Azam, MD, FSCAI, is a distinguished interventional cardiologist with over 26 years of experience in the CathLab. Dr. Azam is currently serving as Professor of Cardiology at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases & Hospital (NICVD), Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Over the last two decades, he has been a pioneer in the field of interventional cardiology in Bangladesh, leading advanced cardiovascular care and contributing extensively to the development of scientific programs, clinical research, and medical education.
He is the author & co-author of over 50 research articles in prestigious medical journals focusing on coronary intervention, complex PCI, and cardiac therapeutics.
Dr. Azam has served as the Scientific Secretary of the Bangladesh Society of Cardiac Intervention (BSCI) and the Social Welfare Secretary of the Bangladesh Cardiac Society. He serves on the Board of Trustees of CCN University of Science & Technology and is the Founder, Course Director & Organizing Secretary of the SCAI Bangladesh Complex PCI Course.
